I'm 50 this year, and boy, it's bringing up some stuff.
In this episode, I reflect on getting older, taking stock of life, career, family, friendships and the pressure we put on ourselves to have everything figured out by a certain age.
Am I where I thought I'd be at 50?
Probably not in every way.
But maybe that's OK. An honest look at midlife, what matters and what comes next.

In this episode of Pressure Build, I sit down with Dr Keith Skene, one of the world's leading experts in sustainability and a scientist ranked among the top 2% globally in a Stanford University analysis.
Our conversation explores resilience, the changing seasons of life, and the powerful role that community can play in shaping our mental health, both positively and negatively. We discuss why connection matters, how our environment influences wellbeing, and what we can learn from nature when it comes to navigating life's challenges.

What actually happens when a room full of men finally start talking?
Gary Macdonald has spent years finding out. He’s worked in mental health and wellbeing for a large part of his career, and has his own experience of it too. He’s a mental health trainer and advocate, and in 2018 he co-founded MindtheMen with John Baines, a peer-to-peer group where men can come together, talk about what they’re dealing with and support each other.
Between the professional work, his own challenges and years of sitting with men who are trying to make sense of their lives, Gary has a pretty unique view of men’s mental health.
Today I’m joined by Gary to find out.

To start Pressure Build, I thought I’d put myself in the hot seat. I talk openly about my own experiences, the pressures I’ve carried, the things I’ve struggled with and some of the moments that have changed how I see life, work, relationships and myself. It’s a personal conversation about what happens when the pressure starts to build, and what can happen when you finally start talking about it.
