Spot On With The Word

Pressure Points #1

Listen Later

Pastor Scott Frazier begins a new series on a critical topic for our time. We are considering the word "pressure." Most of us do everything we possibly can to avoid pressure or relieve it, at almost any cost. Consider this. Is all pressure bad? Some valuable and beautiful gems are formed due to tremendous pressure, such as the diamond and the pearl. Pressures in life are unavoidable. The question is why are we pressured? Do we have some responsibility in it? Is it leading us to change certain behaviors, avoid specific people or places? Perhaps we need some discipline in an area. Not all discomfort is bad for us. Other times, life circumstances or the choices of those around us create pressure that is not of our own making. If it causes us to push further into God, then it will ultimately be for our benefit. This is when we we can discover that all things work together for good to them that love God and those who are called according to His purpose. Let pressure work for you, by allowing it to drive you to the feet of The One who promises to never leave you nor forsake you. He is The One, who has promised to complete the good work that He has begun in you. Let this teaching equip you to face uncertain days ahead, trusting in the faithfulness of God.
