After the departure of Gregory and Dakka, the party head back to the town center for a drink. Coincidentally, one of the patrons in the pub they head into was an old, traveling companion of Naoki, Thalia. She joins the party, and after a short rest, the group splits to do varies tasks before heading up to the 5th level to see where to go next.

The party continues the search for Gregory, Dakka and Orrnar, heading into the center of the district. Once they have located Dakka, he leads them to the laboratory where he was held captive, where they gain a new member, and are attacked by the one known as "The Architect."

The Party has found themselves cheating death itself, but for what purpose, and by whose hand? They discover that two of they're members are missing, and their best chance to find them is to head back to the Prancing Tabby where the events of the evening prior are still a mystery. After a long night in the catacombs, the party makes their way to a tavern to rest for the night. With the day of the ball upon them, they speak with the Archmage and convince him to take them along after advising him of their conversation with the Goddess in the crypt. After having made contact with the Alchemists Guild to gain membership for Craum, the party takes some time to do shopping for some upgrades and Valerie checks on some rumors. Word on the street is that bodies are going missing and tombs have been broken into in the catacombs on the 5th level of the city...
