Did you know that Black Americans experience the highest health disparities in diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, and, unfortunately, more? It's time to do something about this! So, we are going to start by ensuring our community is knowledgeable and well-equipped to SELF-ADVOCATE! No one knows your body better than you so if you feel something, say something, regardless of how many times it takes. Join us on this episode as we highlight some of the gaps that contribute to these disparities such as the limited diversity amongst healthcare providers, the lack of diversity in clinical research, providers who lack cultural competence, and people of color simply being ignored.
