I'm so excited to release my third episode, which also includes my first interview! Even better, we are talking about navigating being LGBTQ in the workplace - what better topic to address during Pride month?!
In this episode, I interview Chavala Ymker (they/them), who is a young professional in the Grand Rapids, Michigan area. Chavala talks about their personal experiences of navigating being an LGBTQ person in their first professional role, and touches on their positive and negative experiences through the lens of a non-binary person.
We also have discussions regarding experiences in changing pronouns in a workplace setting, and how being part of the LGBTQ community can lead to feelings of Imposter Syndrome in one's career. We also discuss how we can make strides towards the workplace being a more inclusive place for everyone, and how our allies - both employers and coworkers - can help in achieving a more diverse and inclusive setting for all.
THANK YOU to everyone who cheered me on to start this podcast! I am so thankful for the support.
