This episode was produced and edited by the Rev. Colin Chapman.

One of our amazing listeners commented that there was a surprising lack of deacons in the history of Priest Pulse guests. We decided to do an entire episode featured on the diaconate! In this episode, the Venerable Pamela Nesbit joins us to discuss the history and role of the diaconate. Do you think God is calling you to some form of ministry but you're not called to be a priest? Listen to the Archdeacon of the Diocese of Pennsylvania passionately speak about the role of deacons. Also, Colin interviews the Rev. Geoffrey T. Smith, COO of the Foreign and Domestic Missionary Society - the first Deacon to hold this office. Thanks to our guests and all deacons everywhere!

In this episode of Priest Pulse we focus down on the enneagram along with famed author and podcast host Ian Morgan Cron, author of Chasing Francis and The Road Back to You. Ian tells us about the blessings and shortcomings of the enneagram, a personality profile tool that originates in the Christian and Suffi spiritual traditions. Ian Morgan Cron discusses life through the lens of the enneagram as well as his own journey of faith and being an Episcopal priest. Colin and Ben discuss their enneagram types. We try hard not to insult each other or anyone else. Get to know us and yourself better on this new episode of Priest Pulse.

Do you love Lent Madness? Do you love silly games? Do you want to learn more about Tim, Scott, and Colin Chapman while also finding out which saint they are from a silly Buzzfeed game? If so you've come to the right place. We play a game with the Supreme Executive Committee of Lent Madness on this b-side, and Fr. Ben rambles a lot. He must have Lent on the brain.

The Supreme Executive Committee of Lent Madness joins us for a bout to the death...er....rather a discussion of Lent Madness and this year's bracket. Tim Schenck and Scott Gunn get into the details of creating Lent Madness and what we have to look forward to this year. Ben and Colin discuss this holy season of Lent and go over our bracket predictions for Lent Madness. We pray you have a holy 40 days of preparation for Easter.

Colin had the chance to sit down with the Rev. Cn. Stephanie Spellers, Canon to the Presiding Bishop for Evangelism and Reconciliation, and discuss growing up a geek, favorite movies, the Force Awakens, evangelism, mission, her call to the priesthood, the future of the Episcopal Church, and more. This is an incredibly fun interview you don't want to miss. Also on this b-side, the winner of our "Christ Walk Kids" promotional contest is announced. Colin and Ben answer your questions, and confess some of their worst sermon moments. Enjoy this b-side and we'll catch you on the a-side.

Did you catch Lady Gaga at the Superbowl? Well Lady Gaga caught our guest Sarah Condon at church that morning, and you can catch her on this episode of Priest Pulse talking about her book Churchy. Also, don't miss Colin Chapman's interview with BJ Owens as they discuss his Slate article on preaching in the age of President Donald Trump. And certainly not least, Colin had a chance to question Presiding Bishop Michael Bruce Curry at his pilgrimage and revival in Pittsburgh. Do not miss this incredibly special episode of Priest Pulse.
