In this episode:
We talk to clean energy and innovation expert, Yemi Adefulu, about lifting the veil on the energy transition. He explains why getting to net zero by 2050 is not as easy as it sounds, but not impossible to achieve. But it means that big energy, policy makers and environmental groups need to work together to make the quantum leaps necessary to solve the biggest challenge of our time – climate change.
Yemi is the deputy director of the BC Centre for Innovation and Clean Energy.
The centre’s initial focus areas for funding and project delivery will include:
- carbon capture, utilization and storage;
- the production, use and distribution of low-carbon hydrogen;
- biofuels and synthetic fuels (including marine and aviation fuels);
- renewable natural gas; and
- battery technology, storage and energy management systems.
Yemi brings global experience with background in the corporate energy, financial services and telecom sectors to the Prime Movers podcast.
