Today, I talk with the founding members of Black Wealth in Charleston, affectionately dubbed BWIC. The group is based out of Charleston, SC and is comprised of business professionals in the area. Those founding members are: Trevino and Shaun Reid, Melvina Ravenel, Jordan Jackson, Keisha Smith, and Keisha Lee. BWIC “is a division of I AM The Change, created to incite change in our community.” The goal of this organization is “to help others create wealth, build businesses, purchase assets, and recirculate resources into the Black community”. They have a Gala coming up on February 5th, 2022 at K’CIRA Events located at 622 Old Trolley Road in Summerville, SC. The event is from 5pm til 11pm. At this event you will get a chance to network with other business professionals and is a great opportunity for anyone looking to pick the brains of those that have already created successful businesses, currently in the process of creating a business, and are thinking about taking that 1st step into becoming an entrepreneur.
