This week's episode follows the story of Kurt's great, great grandfather and his journey from Germany into wild west, 1850's Texas and eventually to Scranton Pennsylvania as he pushed forward with his task as a Lutheran missionary. Pulled from actual written accounts by the Rev. Zizelmann that were preserved in many books written over the last 100+ years about the early days of Texas as well as stories from churches and newspapers.
