How do we view others in the “kingdom of God” and how will we be viewed? Jesus speaks to these powerfully in this passage from Luke 14, as he turns an otherwise normal dinner party upside down with his perspective on the Kingdom of God.

In this sermon from Luke 13:22, Jesus address the question from the crowd of “Who can be saved?” Will there be lots or just a few? Of course, the real question, and the one Jesus addresses, is not just who can be saved, but how can I be saved?

Join us today for a look at Jesus’ controversial answer to this question as we address Jesus’ exclusive claim as the saviour of the world.

The Kingdom of God is a huge biblical theme with tremendous implications for us today. We don’t often appreciate how important this theme is for understanding who Jesus claimed to be and what he claimed to be about. Today we’ll explore this theme through two short parables Jesus taught with, and look at what it means to embrace the Kingdom of God in the midst of a pandemic.

As Christians, what should our relationship with the world around us look like? There is increasing cultural pressure for Christians to abandon some of their core beliefs and values. How do we face this pressure and respond in a biblical, honest way? This is a major question for many of us and has shaped a lot of evangelical church culture over the years both for better and for worse.

Is the Bible able to give us direction in this difficult question? Join us today as we look at Luke 13 and see how Jesus allowed the word to confront and transform both the religious culture of the day, but also the secular culture around him.

Is repentance really necessary and if so, how do we do it? Today, we’re addressing these two questions from Luke 13 and will offer a helpful guide to a prayer of repentance you can incorporate on your own today.

We often talk about the apocalypse pretty negatively. However, as Christians we see that the return of our Lord is actually great news. Jesus wants us to be ready for the joyful culmination of human history.

But what about the meantime? How are we to prepare for Jesus’ return? This sermon is all about Jesus’ response to these questions found in Luke 12:35.

The world has a lot to worry about:
vaccines, masks, social distancing, bubbles, church gatherings, even symptoms of the common cold are more worrisome than they’ve ever been (we were even pretty worried about toilet paper for a while there!).

With all there is to worry about in the world we can’t afford to leave the Bible closed. Jesus has some great things to teach us about worry and how to overcome it.
