Began his training in school administration of the Civil Service Commission in Jerusalem, and completed advanced studies course for human resource management at in Tel-Aviv. Joseph Cohen Elran published first novel at age twenty-six. The first five books published under the name Joseph Cohen, and later added to his name the pen name Elran,consisting of the names of his children. Beginning of 2000 is a member of the Hebrew Writers Association. Retired in early 2007 for his dedication to writing,and during the year since his retirement he concentrated on writing end of a new novel, first book of poetry published and expanded his areas of study screenwriting writing through the Open University. Married with a daughter and a son.
