Listen Later

This is a recording of the first ever paid members live stream. It was an experiment recorded on Sunday 12 March 2023.

See the video of this podcast here: https://youtube.com/live/YWI8Cx3W_N0

The aim is to provide insights specific to first time buyers, in particular in your dealings with estate agents.

If you don't already have one, I have hand picked a selection of mortgage brokers I trust and you can contact them here: https://mhwc.co.uk/mortgage

If you have any private messages or feedback for me, please message me via the https://buymeacoffee.com/mhwc page.

Thank you for joining me on this journey, I hope I can help!

All the best in the hunt for your home. Charlie

4. Surveyors. Several types:

- A mortgage valuation is a specific type of assessment done by the mortgage lender to help them confirm the property’s value. It’s also used to see if the property will be a suitable security for the loan you’ve applied for. Your lender will usually arrange a mortgage valuation. Some are offered free, typically they start at £250, and can easily reach £1,000 if you're not careful and choosy.

RICS Home Surveys - a highly recommended step. What's the condition of the home?

The 10 step timeline:

1. Deposit Funds in place, with proof.
2. Making the decision to buy (get a mortgage broker now)
3. Knowing what you want.
4. Registering with agents (being prepared)
5. Booking Viewings (line up a conveyancer now)
