Proactive’s Tylah Tully breaks down ‘Just the Facts’ of the latest news from Silver Mines Ltd (ASX:SVL, OTC:SLVMF).
The company raised A$25 million through a share placement to institutional and sophisticated investors with funds to support ongoing development of the Bowdens Silver Project in New South Wales, as well as broader exploration initiatives.
Placement shares were priced at A$0.092 each, representing a 9.6% discount to the five-day volume-weighted average trading price.
Investors also received one free option for every three shares purchased, exercisable at A$0.1196 until June 17, 2026.
The proceeds will fund development consent approvals, engineering studies, community acquisitions, resource exploration at Bara Creek and Tuena, and general working capital.
Silver Mines highlighted strong backing from global institutional investors, reflecting confidence in the project despite recent challenges.
Managing director Jo Battershill noted that the silver market remained robust, with limited new development projects anticipated over the next two to three years.
The Bowdens Silver Project continues to progress towards reinstatement of its development consent, a key step towards production.
