Jindalee Resources Ltd (ASX:JRL) CEO Lindsay Dudfield tells Proactive the company has appointed a drilling contractor ahead of the upcoming infill drilling program at its McDermitt Lithium Project in Oregon, USA, that’s set to commence in the weeks ahead. McDermitt is the largest lithium deposit in the US and a globally significant resource by contained lithium, at 21.5 million tonnes lithium carbonate equivalent (LCE). Assays from the drilling are expected in early 2024. The McDermitt Lithium Project sits at the northern end of the McDermitt Caldera, about 35 kilometres north of the Thacker Pass deposit, owned by Lithium Americas.

Infinity Lithium Corporation Ltd (ASX:INF) General Manager of Corporate Affairs Justin Samulski speaks to Thomas Warner from Proactive London about the implications for the company's 75% owned San Jose Lithium Project of a decision announced this week by the Spanish Federal Constitutional Court.

The court ruled against provisions of a law introduced by the Regional Government of Extremadura that had been intended to support the development of lithium projects within the region. The law, ratified last October, mandated that all lithium extracted in Extremadura be processed within the region. However, the court found certain clauses in the law to be unconstitutional and anti-competitive.

Despite this, Samulski emphasises that the changes won't affect Infinity's strategy for the San Jose lithium project. The company remains committed to the region and plans to develop a conversion facility on-site.

Infinity's next steps include applying for PREMIA status, which could unlock regional funding opportunities. They will continue collaborating with regional stakeholders to ensure the project's successful delivery.

Mercia Ventures is seeking to raise £42 million across three Venture Capital Trusts (VCTs), with an over-allotment facility bringing the potential total to £60 million for this tax year.

The funds target investors interested in a diversified portfolio of growth equity companies, focusing on sectors like Life Science, Health Tech, software, and consumer tech. Dines says that opportunities are likely to prove attractive to investors "looking for a diversified portfolio... it has the added benefit from a VCT perspective in terms of the tax benefits and the dividend."

Dines highlighted the firm's consistent track record, even during challenging times, citing the recent successful exit of Evotix, a health and safety software business, with a 4.5x return.
