Hotel chain Travelodge is set to be put up for sale by US Hedge Fund GoldenTree for £1.2bn, amid strong demand for affordable accommodation.
CVC Advisors Ltd has pulled out of a bid to buy payment solutions provider Network International, leaving Brookfield Asset Management as the last potential buyer.
And with the small caps, shares in Guild Esports jumped after it announced a new partnership with Fanatec to operate high-tech racing simulators at its London headquarters.
