Welcome to the show!!! Episode 21 "Problems With Benefits" of Vote Your Conscience with Kevin Stolla is all about the people at the top of the world. Whether that is in business at the largest corporations and investment firms, or in the highest positions of power in government. This episode is specifically about how much corruption there is, especially at the top. I believe that this corruption coming from the people and organizations that should be seen as our leaders and our best examples of how to be a great person, seeps down to us regular folks and creates an atmosphere of mistrust and despair. This leads to more problems and the people at the top benefit from all of the problems that we have, real and imagined. In this episode I cover the sheer amount of monetary power that our U.S. federal government has and how they still never solve any of our problems. I believe that is on purpose, because a solved problem doesn't require a governmental solution. The people at the top use the problems to keep convincing us that we need them and no good solutions will come without them. This is the opposite of the truth of course. If we all worked together, by making better decisions individually, we wouldn't need them to pretend to solve our problems. I point to our increasing problems such as homelessness, inner city poverty, environmental catastrophe, and gun violence in the U.S. and the world and the benefits that these powerful people gain to make my argument.
