Since we only cover the most important of topics, this episode is about one that we feel is stupid important, ProBoothTalk. Yep, we’re going to be talking about us. More specifically our website, ProBoothTalk.com.
It’s a pretty short episode, but we thought it was important that everybody’s taking full advantage of the free resources we’re providing to you. Although you’re already here and all the links are up top, here’s a handy list of some of the things we covered in the broadcast:
The Directory: Without doubt the most common question we hear is “Where does everyone get X”, well the directory aims to answer that question in all it’s many forms.
We’ve taken a great deal of time to collect as many vendors as we could find and package them all together nicely for you to easily find whatever you’re looking for, photo booth related. If we’re missing something, let us know and we’ll get it added. Also, if you’re a vendor, it’s 100% free to add your website and you can do that in the vendor section.
Tips & Resources: OK, we admit this section’s still a little weak, but hey, we only launched on July 4. We’ve been in contact with a couple SEO gurus, a Google AdWord guru and other marketing geniuses that have all expressed interest in contributing to these sections to help in filling them with great, relevant and free photo booth related content. The thing is, these guys we spoke to aren’t in the industry themselves (I know, I couldn’t believe one of the best SEO guys out there wasn’t renting photo booths either!), so they’re learning about it a bit first. We don’t want just a vague article about SEO, we want it to be photo booth specific so you can more easily pick up whatever we put down. Also, if you have a need to blog and have some information you think other boothers will find helpful, let us know. We’d love to post your article.
Community: We can’t say enough about how important being part of a photo booth community is. You can always find us hanging around Dave Stephenson’s face book group The Photo Booth Network. We’re often guilty of playing the wallflower, but we’re still there learning everything we can. At 4,500 strong, this is certainly the largest group out there.
However, large isn’t always best, sometimes it’s also good to find a smaller group of a few hundred. In these forums it’s much easier to build relationships with other boothers instead of just getting advice. The Photo Booth Institute Facebook group is perfect for this.
Having trouble with you software or any other product? Chances are there’s a specific group out there designed solely to offer support for your specific product. Customer service is great, but what if it’s in the middle of the night and you’re at an event? Or maybe you don’t want to bother support for the 10th time for some little issue you’re having and would rather just bounce the problem off the head of a few peers? My personal favorite is the Facebook group for Darkroom Booth users.
How about clearing out all that junk you’ve been accumulating as you’ve been experimenting with different products? If you’re anything like me you have at least a couple iPad display stands sitting ar...
