“Proclamation of a Permanent Promise”:The First Sunday in Advent
Pastor Michael's Take-away: Advent is a season of the church year when we think of time:
1) God’s ancient promises of salvation;
2) Christ fulfilling those promises at the proper time; and
3) His future return to take His people into the full experience of eternal life. We may sometimes feel like prisoners of time, which stops for no one.
But as we look at the history of salvation—past, present, and future—we see our Christian hope and the meaning that hope gives to our existence in time.
