Jesus teaches through three images to wrap up the sermon on the mount. They are a brilliant, intentional illustration of how we can implement everything we've learned this past year.

"Ask and it WILL be given to you; seek and you WILL find; knock and the door WILL be opened to you." Matthew 7:7. Really? Is this how anyone's prayer life works? What in the world was Jesus talking about? This is a troubling verse, unless Jesus was talking about something else.

Matthew 7 is as close to Karma as Jesus gets. Jesus is brilliant, and the way he weaves his teachings together is so, so helpful. Check it out.

Jesus wants to teach us how to make the new become normal, and the normal to become second nature.

These five verses get tossed out the window pretty quick when real life hits. Maybe that's because we don't see things as we should.

Anger, lust, prison, eye-gouging... all right there, smack-dab in the middle of the Sermon on the Mount. Let's dive in together.

Jesus gave the disciples and identity, then empowered them to live it out. Listen in as we describe this early group of ragamuffins who Jesus called "the light of the world".

Jesus says we're blessed when we're persecuted for doing the right thing. When you pursue righteousness, you will experience resistance.

In this knee-jerking, name-calling, US and THEM world... God is calling us be peacemakers.
