Read Genesis 21:1–11, thinking about a parent perspective. In what ways did Hagar, Sarah, and Abraham see their sons in their own image and miss the image of God? What kind of example does this type of behavior set for the next generation?

Read Luke 15. What do you notice about the parenting characteristics attributed to God? What are some ways we can embody those as we engage with the next generation?
