Also, I definitely had some technical problems with this episode. I'm still working with one hand, (as the guys so lovingly called me, Edward Scissorhands...). Thank you for your patience and enjoy the wonderful wisdom of how God treats us and Paul!

Hello! Welcome to How to Pray Part 2! We got a pastor this time! But he was busy so we got Pete.
Do you have something on your mind or on your heart? Is it worry, or anger or pain or something that just won't go away? Then bring it before God! We will show you a great method to calm all those pesky emotions of 2020.
No but seriously, this is a really good step by step process for praying about things. You should listen.

The "How To" Steps for Praying about something on your mind. As Taught by Pastor Pete.
1. Find a quiet place and identify a troublesome feeling or situation that you want relief from. Be specific about the emotion.
2. Focus intently on the emotions you are feeling. Ask the Lord to stir that emotion within you in a safe way so it can be dealt with. How intense: 1-10
3. Allow your mind to drift back through time to a memory or situation which sits at the source of that emotion.
4. Identify the lie. Ask yourself: “Why do I feel this way in this memory?” The emotion will match the lie.
5. Open your awareness to the presence of God in that memory. Ask Jesus to show you where he is in the memory (visually, audibly, or just as an assurance or presence).
6. Once aware, ask Jesus to speak truth to the lie that is causing the troublesome emotions.
7. When you hear the truth, speak it to yourself and observe how the truth dispels the emotion. As you embrace the truth Jesus speaks, God will bring healing and freedom to many aspects of your life that were governed by the lie.
8. Finally, go back to the memory. Observe your feelings. If you can face that situation with peace and calm, it’s over. If there are more feelings, explore those by repeating the process.
9. If you don’t have a realization of truth in a few minutes, there is a reason.
9a. Maybe you missed something important If so: Go back and revisit
9b. Maybe there is a contrary spirit working to block what God wants to do (must deal with that). If So: “I command all contrary spirits to stand aside, in the name of Jesus Christ, until we can complete the work God has called us to do.
9c. ”Maybe you don’t want to accept a truth that God might be saying to you. If so: If you really want release, confess your anger, rage, offense etc to God, admit your powerlessness on your own. Ask Him to release you completely
If you got to the bottom, you are awesome and we love you!

Hey all! It was a rough week this week for each of us in our own ways. We all got to come together and spend some time joking around and talk about the Book of Esther.
In this episode, we feature discussion about: The Easter Bunny, a giant cut out donkey, Chapstick getting throw at Dave, and Ahasuerus or Xerxes, we're not sure which pronunciation is correct.
