On this episode of Producing with Purpose, I’ll be chatting with Dane O'Shanassy, the Australia and New Zealand company director of Patagonia.
Dane was the perfect person to speak to about what the future looks like for purpose driven businesses, and how to balance those first couple of years when starting an ethical venture, when you have to find the balance and compromise between the brand you are today, the brand you want to become, and how to remain financially viable.
An all round inspiring and motivating chat that talks in depth about the topics above, but also the past and future of Patagonia and their commitment to protecting our home planet.

On this micro episode, I drill down into a topic I've mentioned a lot lately. Patience. Sharing a lesson that I found extremely valuable over the last couple of years, I share some tips on how to nurture and act on an idea before sharing it, to help ensure you keep up the momentum when it comes to turning an idea into action.

On this episode of Producing with Purpose, I chat with Daniel Flynn, the co-founder of thankyou. Daniel has long been on my list of people I want to talk to on this podcast, so I was super stoked for this chat.
We cover the early days of starting thankyou. and how a purpose driven mindset was key to making it through the first 3 years and discuss the art of innovation and thinking outside of the box to build brand awareness in a hyper-competitive space.

On this episode of Producing with Purpose, I chat with Eric Mirbach of Antagonist and Very Good Looking, where we discuss the key to killer content. It’s an honour to have Eric on the podcast for a discussion I’ve been really looking forward to.

On one of my many lockdown walks, I got talking to a friend who told me that they felt they were always busy, but never felt like they were being effective with their time. This is something I've come across many times when working with teams, especially those who have to spin multiple plates at one time.
So in this micro episode, I give 3 quick fire tips on how to plan your tasks with intention to make sure you achieve a meaningful task each day, before you get caught up in the busy-work that plagues so much of our working time.

On this episode of Producing with Purpose, I chat with Robbie Lockie, co-founder and co-director of Plant Based News. Robbie grew up in Zimbabwe and moved to the U.K. when they were around 18, where they amassed significant experience in the design industry. They have since gone on to build a mammoth empire in the form of Plant Based News, so I was so seriously excited to talk to them.
Robbie and I talk in detail about the current state of social media from a marketing and reach perspective, the evolution of the algorithms and the value of IG Reels, Tik Tok and Instagram Lives.
This is one you won't want to miss if you're looking to grow your social media presence!

On this episode of Producing with Purpose, I cover the importance of sometimes reflecting on the work you're doing and allowing yourself to be your own critic.
This isn't something we want to be doing too often, as it's important to wake up every day and be the champion and dreamer for your own success, but reflection on where we're falling short is important to make sure we're taking the right steps to hit those goals.
It's with this self-reflection that the podcast is going to be changing slightly in subsequent episodes, with more of a focus on expertise of the guests to give you the most valuable information and insights. We'll be launching the new website in the coming week and we'll be ramping things up more on Instagram, so I appreciate you heading over to @producingwithpurpose and giving us a follow.
Cheers - Tony

On this episode of Producing with Purpose, presented by Noskin, I have a fascinating chat with Casey Whitelaw, founder of Go Neutral and CTO of Green Collar.
Casey and I discuss his transition from a career as an engineer at Google to starting a company that creates a simple, but vital product, allowing customers to offset their vehicle carbon emissions.
This episode is a green insight into not only Casey's journey, but also the value in first finding a problem that you're passionate about solving, and then finding a way to form a business around this idea.

In this micro episode, I talk about the importance of surrounding yourself with the right people when embarking on a new venture. Especially during the last couple of years, when it's hard not to get caught up in some of the uncertainty that surrounds us, it's important to get the right people in your corner, who you can brainstorm with and who will be honest enough to tell you your ideas are on the money, or when they fall short.
I talk about the importance of finding this person, and some tips on how it can not only open your mind to new ideas, but how it can also reinforce some of the knowledge you gain elsewhere.
