Renia Lewis, 28, was found murdered in October 2025, after being reported missing in Vallejo, California. Her body was discovered by police behind a concealed entry to an attic in a home on 14th Street. A 41-year-old man, Douglas Irwin Shaw, was identified as the suspect. He was arrested at his workplace and booked into the Solano County Jail. Police say he provided a statement admitting to the crime. He was formally charged with murder and has entered a plea of not guilty.
