After qualifying as a reflexologist in 2008, Kelly has created a successful reflexology business based in Leicestershire where she specialises in women’s well-being and supporting bereaved clients’. Following her own success Kelly wanted to share her business and marketing knowledge with other therapists to support and empower them with their own businesses, and created Love Reflexology in 2017. Love Reflexology is an international business support community and also the home of the Love Reflexology Directory.
Kelly understands that working as a reflexologist can be a lonely career at times and wanted to create a community so therapists always felt supported. The ethos of Love Reflexology is Connect. Support. Empower, and it does just that, as it provides support on all aspects of running a business and has a caring community of 5,000 reflexologists and students. To support therapists further Kelly provides business mentoring and social media training to help therapists achieve their individual business goals.

Welcome! This episode is another very important one for Reflexology, and actually complementary therapies in general.

We wanted to follow up our last episode with Dr Angie Hobbs with another unique take on things, and this time our special guest is Dr Julia Boon who is not only Senior Partner in a very busy medical practice in the Midlands, UK but she also trained as a reflexologist and is a huge supporter of it. As we all know, the relationship between Complementary therapies and the medical profession has often been a point of contention so this podcast is another must listen for lots of us. Her views on sceptics, how complementary therapies could help the NHS in the future and how she uses reflexology herself are definitely something to be heard!

Oh one quick note: at one point when discussing reflexology and pregnancy, they mention “SPD” which is Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction, which causes discomfort in the pelvic region.

Our special guest this episode is Jan Williamson - from Precision Reflexology. She is an incredibly experienced Reflexology tutor, yoga teacher and author and she teaches precision work through her CPD courses, both in the UK and abroad.
Precision work is unusual in that it is not reliant on force or physical pressure to achieve its aims. Each client is treated as an individual and receives the benefits in a manner that is effective for them at the time that they receive the treatment. In this way each person's own energies are used in the healing process and will be appropriate on all levels of their being – physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.
Martyn and Jan have known each other for a very long time so they get right into the workings and beliefs behind the therapy, and theres some valuable advice for new and experienced therapists along the way. So over to Martyn and Jan on the PR Podcast!
