October 21, 2021 PR Podcast #10 with guest Kelly Hainsworth
For the third and final installment of our mini Business Building series, Olivia is joined by the wonderful Kelly Hainsworth!
After qualifying as a reflexologist in 2008, Kelly has created a successful reflexology business based in Leicestershire where she specialises in women’s well-being and supporting bereaved clients’. Following her own success Kelly wanted to share her business and marketing knowledge with other therapists to support and empower them with their own businesses, and created Love Reflexology in 2017. Love Reflexology is an international business support community and also the home of the Love Reflexology Directory.
Kelly understands that working as a reflexologist can be a lonely career at times and wanted to create a community so therapists always felt supported. The ethos of Love Reflexology is Connect. Support. Empower, and it does just that, as it provides support on all aspects of running a business and has a caring community of 5,000 reflexologists and students. To support therapists further Kelly provides business mentoring and social media training to help therapists achieve their individual business goals.
Not only is Kelly passionate about supporting her reflexology clients and making a positive difference to their lives, but also the reflexology profession as a whole. In this episode, we chat all things social media - how to make the most out of it, how to improve your strategy and upcoming trends.

PR Podcast #7 with Emma Baxter PRM

This episode of the PR Podcast is all about POSITIVITY! We are joined by the lovely Emma Baxter of Tiny Toes Reflexage and Lavender Room Reflexology for a timely chat with our own Olivia Hart.

The fun thing about this one is that Emma and Olivia spent a year training together as Reflexologists at the Three Shires School of Reflexology. They hadn’t caught up properly in a while, so it was great to be able to shoot the breeze and exchange some inspiration, tips and advice about running their businesses, promotion, new ideas and just GOING FOR IT!

They cover so much in this, and even if you’re not a Reflexologist you will love this as it is such a fun listen for everyone! Emma is a real inspiration to us all and we hope you feel the same!

March 02, 2020 PR Podcast #5 with guest Dr Julia Boon
Welcome! This episode is another very important one for Reflexology, and actually complementary therapies in general.

We wanted to follow up our last episode with Dr Angie Hobbs with another unique take on things, and this time our special guest is Dr Julia Boon who is not only Senior Partner in a very busy medical practice in the Midlands, UK but she also trained as a reflexologist and is a huge supporter of it. As we all know, the relationship between Complementary therapies and the medical profession has often been a point of contention so this podcast is another must listen for lots of us. Her views on sceptics, how complementary therapies could help the NHS in the future and how she uses reflexology herself are definitely something to be heard!

Oh one quick note: at one point when discussing reflexology and pregnancy, they mention “SPD” which is Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction, which causes discomfort in the pelvic region.

So thank you for joining us again, and we hope you enjoy listening to Dr Boon talking with PR’s Martyn Finke now, on the PR Podcast!

March 01, 2020 PR Podcast #4 with guest Dr Angie Hobbs
Hi again and welcome to the Professional Reflexology Podcast!
This episode is a very special one not only for us, but for Reflexology itself. Our guest is Dr Angie Hobbs who some of you will have seen on TV, heard on the radio and read her articles in the newspapers over the years. She Is Professor of the Public Understanding of Philosophy at the University of Sheffield.
Why is this such an important podcast? Well, Angie has been having extensive reflexology treatments for the last 25 years from Wendy Finke of Three Shires Reflexology. Obviously with Angie being a scientist, many of you who are reflexologists or those of you who have had reflexology will know the struggle we have to convince the nay-sayers and sceptics of the therapy of how amazing we know it is so her perspective and thoughts on it all are fascinating! You’ll hear about Angie’s journey from the start, her struggles with pregnancy, serious illnesses and her coming to trust and rely on Reflexology through her and her ongoing professional and personal friendship with Wendy, plus a lot more. So please do share this with as many people as you possibly can – not only is this a great listen it’s also a fantastic advert for the therapy too. Thank you, and we hope you enjoy this as much as we did!

March 01, 2020 PR Podcast #3 with guest Jan Williamson
Martyn Finke & Olivia Hart welcome you to the latest PR Podcast!
We just want to thank all of you who have downloaded, streamed and listened to us so far! We are getting some great comments and suggestions for future guests and topics, and it’s so great to be able to do these for you!
Our special guest this episode is Jan Williamson - from Precision Reflexology. She is an incredibly experienced Reflexology tutor, yoga teacher and author and she teaches precision work through her CPD courses, both in the UK and abroad.
Precision work is unusual in that it is not reliant on force or physical pressure to achieve its aims. Each client is treated as an individual and receives the benefits in a manner that is effective for them at the time that they receive the treatment. In this way each person's own energies are used in the healing process and will be appropriate on all levels of their being – physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.
Martyn and Jan have known each other for a very long time so they get right into the workings and beliefs behind the therapy, and theres some valuable advice for new and experienced therapists along the way. So over to Martyn and Jan on the PR Podcast!
The PR Podcast aims to give insights into what Reflexology is, how it works, success stories, journeys and anything else you can think of to do with this amazing therapy, along with listeners questions, plus interviews with a whole host of very special guests in every episode.
