Get ready to hear about some behind-the-scenes occurrences about this specific piece of legislation. We will also be addressing some of the outrageous fear-mongering which happened at the mic just moments before the vote. We look forward to debunking the misstatements spewed by certain legislators and correcting their misinformation. We will also be listing each NYS Assembly person who voted against this bill because their constituents deserve to know. In the interim, let's pop some champagne!!!

Let's dive into the historic LANDSLIDE victory and passage of NY's anti-puppy mill bill!!! In this episode, we welcome NY Assemblyman Ed Ra who has been a wonderful supporter of this bill, a phenomenal resource to advocates, and who is quite the animal advocate himself. We also welcome back JP Goodwin of HSUS who is leading the charge to END PUPPY MILLS across the country!

Believe me when I tell you the time to educate yourself about local pet laws is BEFORE YOU HAVE TO!!!

In this episode, two brilliant legal beagles (EAGLES! I meant eagles!) will shed light on recent laws regarding pets and divorce as well as the importance of understanding what your rights are as a pet parent.

If you have ever asked yourself "what happens legally if my dog bites/hurts another person's dog?" or "What if my dog bites/hurts a person? A child?" or worse..."What if someone's dog bites/hurts my beloved furbaby?" This show is an important must watch.

Learn from JP Goodwin, Senior Director of the "Stop Puppy Mills" campaign at the Humane Society of The United States. JP will share the simple steps we can take to help this bill pass, as well as others.

Advocacy is NOT hard, in fact, it's quite simple. It's often just a phone call or sending an email. Won't you take just a few minutes to step up and be a voice for the voiceless? We all know they would do it for us.

"If you wanna make the world a better place take a look at yourself and make a change!" ~Man in the Mirror, M. Jackson

Today we are focusing on advocacy and the importance of your voice. Yes...YOUR VOICE!!! So many people are animal lovers and we don't doubt that for a single moment. These people are our friends, neighbors, colleagues, and family members. We know that they can't stand animal cruelty and neglect. We also know that only THEY have the power to make a difference and affect change.

So what does it take to be a difference-maker? Well, let's start with this simple question: Do you know who your elected representatives are? This includes your local, State, and Federal legislators and this is where advocacy begins.

This episode will most certainly peak your interest, raise your eyebrows, boil your blood and pull at your heartstrings. Buckle up for a very special hour!

Our guest Charlie Sorrentino has decades of experience and her level of expertise is extensive. From puppies to therapy dogs and many other forms of training and behavior evaluation, this professional is going to help us navigate the unregulated industry as well as the importance of positive reinforcement.

Charli was also passed over by the Town of Hempstead, NY where she could have brought her incredible qualifications and hands-on experience to the homeless shelter animals who desperately needed (and still need) top notch experts to help them modify their behaviors and become more adoptable. Sadly, the Town opted to hire the least qualified person at TOP DOLLAR and yes, we will discuss this grave disservice to the animals as well as the taxpayers.

Also joining us is Melissa S.W.A.P. (Seniors With Animals Project) as we delve into all of the great work that they've been doing to help both senior animals and senior people flourish.

Did you know the US Government is rounding up wild horses into pens where they can no longer run free? This is an abominable practice that the CANA Foundation has been advocating against for years.

They need our help to be a voice for these beautiful wild animals who need to be rewilded so that they don't live out their lives in a cruel containment pen.

In this episode, we welcome the author, advocate, and founder of the CANA Foundations, Manda Kalimantan as well as Dr. Ross MacPhee who sits on the board of the Museum of Natural History. They will educate us on the government's perspective of why this is occurring, why it's wrong and how to help.
