A challenging victory over Bowling Green leaves Michigan at #2 heading into the 2023 Big Ten schedule. The boys discuss it all, on and off the field and around the country:
➡️JJ Struggles - Time to panic? All is lost? No! Maybe? Steve and Greg break down the BGSU game on both sides of the ball, a much tougher tilt than anyone expected or wanted. And if you came for Alex Orji content you get yours here.
➡️LC, Carl, Jamo, and Herb - Dooley discusses his meeting with Lloyd Carr last week, the boys chatted with Carl Grapentine in our class, Dooley previews epic guests coming to his Leadership class this week: Strength Coach Ben Herbert, and Bo era legend & owner of NIL Collective Stadium & Main, Jamie Morris.
➡️NIL, still Hot. The Prof discusses his talk on NIL with U-M softball alums and the Sports Illustrated piece (feat. Blake Corum on the cover) by Michael Rosenberg, and the news that Hail! Impact, Michigan's charitable collective, received its 501(c)(3) approval from the IRS - the first major school program to gain this status since the IRS warning in June 2023.

Week 2 of the 2023 season is in the books and Professor Dooley and Pundit Clarke have a lot of ground to cover in this episode:
➡️Rebel Rundown The gents reflect on and off the Michigan stadium field from Saturday's 35-7 win over UNLV. We start with JJ's remarkable start and much more, including a few sights and sounds from the day. We also discuss the significance of Mike Hart being the first black head coach on the sideline, albeit for a half.
➡️The B1G Roundup - Steve notes that this is the first game on CBS since 1986 (vs. Iowa), so we take a short trip back to that game against the Hawkeyes. We also look around the conference at Ohio State, Wisconsin and the lads ponder the odd perspective held by Illinois fans that Michigan is their rival. We rattle off all the teams that are bigger rivals to Michigan than our buddies from Champaign.
➡️The Situation - We provide our initial reactions to the elephant in the room: the Mel Tucker/MSU mess-up in East Lansing.
➡️National Round-up, and BGSU - We wrap with a quick look at Texas, a peek at Saturday's tilt with Bowling Green, and Dooley couldn't resist a couple of thoughts on the Lion's victory over the Chiefs in the NFL opener.

We're In-Season, here's our breakdown from on and off the field Saturday, and a quick look ahead to UNLV:
➡️That Saturday Vibe! Football is back, and the boys break down a few thoughts from all-time win #990 including a run through each unit and the standout performances. And we discussed JJ's "Free Harbaugh" shirt and to whom that was directed.
➡️The B1G, and the Big House. We bounce around the conference and we eliminate one team from the championship race. We also review the new scoreboards and the wider tunnel field entrance. We didn't forget conference realignment, and touch on the changes to the ACC, adding SMU, Cal, & Stanford.
➡️Elsewhere, and UNLV. Arguably the biggest surprise of the weekend (with apologies to Duke) was Prime Time and Colorado. We discuss their big win and the reaction and the Pundit drops a brief scouting report on the Rebels.

Steve and Greg return in the last non-Michigan football week of the summer, the rundown:
➡️95ish? Dooley explains the preseason "Mood" which has been tracked on MVictors.com since 2013. It's obviously very high, but why isn't it higher? The boys discuss the recent history that invokes a bit of Soundgarden, fans loving M gear, and a quick spin around the country of the likely candidates for the national title.
➡️Endorse Me. The lads chat about the U-M Athletic Department's endorsement of Champions Circle as the collective of choice for Michigan, and what it means in reality (it's about the partnership with Learfield), and what is still holding fans back from supporting NIL, despite the undefeated reputation of the Michigan Money Cannon. And we can't quit the topic of beer in the stadium.
➡️The Pac-12's Nutty Professor. Wow, apparently the Pac-12 presidents hung their hats on an academic assessment of their value to the TV networks(!)(?). Amazing. We discuss it and break it down, and how the B1G probably went about this. We continue to pick through the rubble of the Pac 12, and the impact on the B1G.

The Season 2 Premiere episode! We cram in quite a bit, here are a few highlights:
➡️Cheeseburgers. The boys open by discussing NCAA vs. Harbaugh, how/why the deal likely blew up, why it is a joke, and what it all means to Michigan. And while we're on news that we thought disappeared, the Northwestern coaches managed to resurrect the Fitz/hazing story.
➡️More thoughts on the demise of the Pac 12, and Clarke breaks down some surprising attendance and TV rating numbers. We also re-raised a topic Steve brought up on WTKA two decades ago: the notion of teams getting booted from the conference? Steve thinks it will happen. And more on what matters (TV eyeballs) and doesn't matter (other sports including basketball, and history to Dooley's chagrin).
➡️Inside Fort Schembechler. The Professor had the rare chance to join Team 144 during fall camp to deliver a history lesson on the Little Brown Jug. While he can't really talk details, Dooley shares a few high-level observations from the experience and we talk a little Jug.

The Season 1 Finale! The Rundown:
➡️The boys open by discussing listener feedback, an interesting email to the British Open golf radio broadcast, and the wild entanglement of streaming services and more. Get off our TV/lawn!
➡️Steve and Greg discuss the darker side of the transfer portal, how coaches feel about it, how NFL teams consider it, and the throngs of athletes still stuck in the portal.

As we inch closer to the 2023 season, Steve and Greg cover a broad range in Episode 11. The Rundown:
➡️A bit of perspective on the crisis with Pat Fitzgerald and Northwestern, Trials by Twitter, the hazing, and a few questions that remain on our minds. Was this a Code Red / A Few Good Men situation?
➡️Cold Beer Here? The discussion on the potential of alcohol in Michigan Stadium from Episode 10 got a lot of reaction, and we discuss a few points raised by listeners. Steve and Greg share their pet peeves on fan behavior, and Steve discusses how an Iowa NIL collective is doing revenue-sharing with alcohol sales.
➡️The boys discuss Duke basketball's $2500 per ticket, meet-n-greet NIL fundraiser in Chicago, should Juwan do something like this? And speaking of, the status of Michigan football's NIL fundraising efforts (not great).
➡️A quick chat on the status of the scarcity of Michigan football game tickets for the 2023 season - they are hot! Steve provides a quick preview of Minnesota, whom Michigan plays on the road on October 7.
