  • Newton's Law of Universal Gravitation

You thought we were all done with Newton, didn't you? You figured that three laws are enough for any scientist. Well think again! Newton was quite the champ, and his work with gravity was revolutionary. I mean, the guy invented calculus so that he could do his work on gravity. So when he INVENTED CALCULUS, he did it just so that math could exist that was complicated enough to do stuff that was more important than inventing calculus. Think about that for a while. Then watch this. Then think about it again.

  • The Second Law of Thermodynamics: Heat Flow, Entropy, and Microstates

What the heck is entropy?! You've heard a dozen different explanations. Disorder, microstates, Carnot engines... so many different wordings and interpretations! Really, they are all related, so let's go through a few different formulations of the second law and ways of interpreting it. It's hard to understand, but who doesn't like a challenge?

  • The First Law of Thermodynamics: Internal Energy, Heat, and Work

In chemistry we talked about the first law of thermodynamics as being the law of conservation of energy, and that's one way of looking at it, but physicists like doing math more than chemists do, so let's talk about the first law in terms of an equation. You like equations by now, don't you? You should!

  • Homogeneous Differential Equations and Bernoulli Differential Equations

We have covered three classes of first-order differential equations, those being separable, linear, and exact. There are just two more to go over, those being homogenous and Bernoulli differential equations. What are these, how do we solve them, and what can we do with them? Let's find out!

  • The Zeroth Law of Thermodynamics: Thermal Equilibrium

You've heard of the laws of thermodynamics, but did you know there are actually four of them? It's true, and since they already had laws one, two, and three, but then wanted to formulate another more fundamental one, the number right before one is zero so that's what they called it! Also, "zeroth" is fun to say. Let's say it together.

Enough of this moving in straight lines business, let's go in circles! Circular motion may not be productive but it's super fun. Ferris wheels are fun. Yes they are, don't be a spoilsport. Roller coasters are fun too. And merry-go-rounds. And learning about centripetal force. Look, I don't understand why you're resisting so much, we are talking about a freaking amusement park. Fine, be that way, I'll go by myself. You stay here and learn this math!
