Cyclohexane makes weird shapes! The most important is the chair conformation. Here we will learn how to draw cyclohexane chairs, how to flip them, the difference in energy between the two chair conformations, and between axial and equatorial substituents. Chairs are easy place to lose points on exams if you don't draw them just right!

We introduced a number of three-dimensional shapes in the last clip, but we still just talked about two-dimensional surface area. What's up with that? Alright, alright, let's learn how to calculate the three-dimensional volume that a shape will occupy. This is like the amount of water that a shape could hold if it was perfectly hollow. This can be a little tricky for the more complicated shapes, but there are equations we can memorize if we so desire. Check it out!

We know about the genitive case, which is used to describe specification or possession. Then there is the genitive of the whole, or genitive partitive. This is used with words denoting a part, when we want to describe a portion of something. Let's check it out!

Now that we have wrapped up the invertebrate chordates, it's time to tackle the third and by the far the largest subphylum of Chordata, Vertebrata. So what is a vertebrate? By contrast, what is an invertebrate? What do these terms mean in the context of phylogeny? Let's make sure this is well understood before examining the vertebrates.

Solving differential equations can get pretty tricky, but in this modern age we have some tools that can be very useful. We can use computers to carry out sophisticated numerical methods that can solve any differential equation, no matter how complex. Let's learn how to use Euler's method, Heun's method, and the Runge-Kutta fourth order method, or RK4.
