Linda shares the relationship-building formula she created and used to grow both her real estate business and her Keller Williams profit share. She shares a recent experience she had where someone pitched an idea to her, and how it is a common pitfall when it comes to building relationships. 

In deconstructing the experience, Linda shares some things the person should have done to cultivate the relationship as opposed to getting overly excited and jumping into a pitch.

Linda talks about her strategy in determining what other folks’ value gaps are — a key part of her formula — and ways to drip resources and nuggets into people’s gaps without appearing overeager. She also shares how to approach a relationship when you know of a gap you need to fill as well!

Brent's story is great, and has hints of what we've heard from others this year. He talks about finding his calling in Profit Share and how it ultimately became his One Thing. He chalks a lot of it up to the realization that he was able to help others find their calling by introducing them to Keller Williams, and that some of the new agents he recruited went on to become industry leaders within the company. On this episode, Linda and Pres discuss the fourth part of the magic formula: Time.  They talk about how you actually have no control over the timing of when an agent will come over to Keller Williams, and how it's your job to nurture the relationship until they are ready and the timing is right for them.  Linda shares how her longest recruit took 12 years, and she might surpass 12 years soon.  They talk about how new agents are a faster turnover, because they're timeline is urgent and they need a good place to be.  Ultimately, they explain how it is important to let go of the getting and focus on the giving, and in time the recruitment will take care of itself.
