Lots of fantastic stuff this week from Kite Parade, Jon Anderson and the Band Geeks, Thrailkill, Airbag, Emerald City Council, Pallas, the ESP Project, and Circuline! As if that was not enough, I will also have a nice crop of music by four artists featured in the current edition of PROG Magazine: Ex-Easter Island Head, We Are Space Horses, Jakub Zytecki, and the Emily Francis Trio!
This month's 101 Dimensions program (curated by your friendly neighborhood Prog-Squatch) features great progressive, electronic, and ambient music from Enigmatic Sound Machines, Bart Hawkins, Frore, Craig Padilla & Marvin Allen, Klaus Schulze, Ashra, and Sverre Knut Johansen!
This week's Prog-Watch is guest-hosted by Dr. Rob Fisher, and is focused on the great Jethro Tull composer, vocalist, and front-man, Ian Anderson! The program was curated by Rob (with assitance from Jamie Robertson, author of Music Measures Memories and a guest on Prog-Watch 1120) and centers on Anderson as a vocalist! Tune in for a lot of great vocal performances from Anderson, and insights from Rob and Jamie!
Lots of astounding progressive sounds await on this week's Prog-Watch! We'll hear brand new music from Amarok, Nick Magnus, Reliqa, Magic Fig, A Burial At Sea, and Sonus Umbra! Plus, our friend and resident reviewer, Dr. Rob Fisher, will take us on a voyage of Progressive Discovery with the latest release by France's Sloane Square Band!
This month's 101 Dimensions program curated by Yours Truly features music from Alber Jupiter, Erik Norlander, Klaus Schulze, and Time Being!
For this week's Prog-Watch I have put together a different kind of program. A death in my family and the need to travel to the funeral left me with no time to put together a proper show, and I didn't want to go with another From the Archives episode. As a compromise, I decided to put together a kind of stream-of-consciousness program full of random stuff from the 1980s. After a brief preamble you will not hear me and my usual patter, just lots of cool tunes. Thanks for your understanding, and I hope you enjoy Whatnot from the 1980s!
