A massive hire to talk about as the Sooners hire Jim Nagy as their GM, a new position for the program. What does it mean for OU and where do we go from here? Spring ball begins next week, who are we looking forward to seeing in pads? We circle the WaGanns with some softball and baseball talk as they are absolutely crushing it right now. We round out with our MVP of the week. Like and subscribe!
We got all 5 guys with us this week to discuss the hiring of Kevin Wilson, deep diving into OU's recent Athletic Department profitability numbers, and discussing a tin hat theory that the OKC Thunder's success may be detrimental to OU athletics.

Welcome to the Program Guyz Podcast! On Episode 161, the Guyz break down the hires of Nate Dreiling and Wes Goodwin, notably as linebackers coaches instead of as defensive coordinator. In the absence of new developments on the defensive coordinator front, the Guyz revisit some of their priors with the Jim Knowles' pursuit, what the holdup might be, and how the fit would ultimately work if he does sign on as the next defensive coordinator at the University of Oklahoma. We dip our toes into recruiting waters, as the coaches are visiting high schools this week and OU made the cut for a couple 2026 guys. Next, Danny Stutsman and Billy Bowman are headed to the Senior Bowl soon, so the Guyz discussed their hopes for those two and Ethan Downs as NFL draft prospects. Finally, there's some light discussion on the CFP and NFL playoff hunt, before we round the show out with our PGP MVPz of the Week.
Welcome in to The Program Guyz 3 year anniversary podcast! Thank you so much for joining and listening over the past 3 years. The guyz spend some time reminiscing before talking about Oklahoma Football portal updates. After that, they discuss their MVPs of the 2024 season and give record predictions for the 2025 season. Thats not all though, as we circle the Waganns to end the show.
It's been about a week since the Oklahoma Sooners' loss to Navy in the Armed Forces Bowl, and the Guyz break down what they're feeling seven days out. After that, they discuss the impact that Zac Alley's departure may (or may not!) have on the defense moving forward, highlighting the returns of Robert Spears-Jennings and Damonic Williams, even as linebacker Lewis Carter hits the portal. Finally, the Guyz give their takes on the transfer portal intakes so far, starting with John Mateer and the quarterbacks, hitting on Josiah Martin, Keontez Lewis, and the wide receivers, and closing with thoughts on the transfer portal tight ends and offensive linemen (we like Derek Simmons). Last but not least, the Guyz give their PGP MVPz, highlighting who took our MVP from the last week in the world.
