Former Bus Operator at Liberty Lines Harry Promin dropped by Progressive Action to educate us on the ins and outs of the operation of the private lines, which included the new pension arbitration award that Samuelsen considered a victory.
Mr. Promin also informed us on how the MTA was grossly negligent in handling his terminally ill medical condition & how the Samuelsen administration did nothing to help his unique case.
Mr. Promin came with a wealth of knowledge/education and we look forward to another interview with him!

November 18, 2016 Progressive Action feat. Latisha Dipaola, John McCarthy & Joe Campbell
Progressive Action had a serious conversation about the newly released contract demands by TWU local 100, which seemed to be a big joke. One of the union's demands was to be able to pick between NYCTA to NJT... For those who may not understand that's equivalent to workers at Delta being able to pick jobs at Virgin Airlines. It just can't happen.
We discussed the union rally aka "Fall Jam" at 2 Broadway, which seemed to be more about entertainment, fun, games than actually fighting for an overdue fair contract.
This show is a must listen!

Progressive Action had a chance to sit down with Ron Carter former depot chair who was railroaded by the Samuelsen administration and forced out of office via an accusation where an accuser was never produced and the false accusations proved victorious in Samuelsen's Kangaroo court.
We discussed the constant and continued harassment of members by elected reps and how they went as far as calling the Inspector Generals (IG's)on their own union members including those of Progressive Action....
Also, we had a discussion about the recent Presidential elections in which Trump won.

Progressive Action radio had the chance to sit down with former TWU Local 100 President Roger Toussaint and discuss the recent major issues involving the local.
Roger had visited the surviving flagger who was injured on the G train within 24hrs of the accident, were another flagger was killed. Mike Staton also joined Roger on the hospital visit and the show commentary
The issues discussed were...
- The recent tragedy involving the construction flaggers where one was killed and the other seriously injured
- The no show of union representatives at the surviving construction flagger bedside to protect from media, management and to make sure the family is good
- John Samuelsen appears at electronic maintainers division shop gate but failed to show to the flaggers bedside for support
- The death of a transit worker on the job is the biggest event that can happen and there wasn't no union presence at the hospital
- What does safety mean?
- John Samuelsen putting a price on workers lives
- How we got Aetna
- How John Samuelsen and his Administration missed meetings that allowed transit to give us Aetna, which is a worst coverage than our last one
- How transit workers will be funding their own raise
- Health Benefits Trust fund and how it works in detail
- Samuelsen "betrayal" of the membership and them being "bad people"
There were so many components to this interview that it should be listened to in full and then on repeat!
