When new entrepreneurs start a side business - whether that’s buying real estate, owning an online store, or doing physical labor outside their 9 - 5 job - they often don’t know how much organization and management goes into making that venture successful. Today we’ve got a fantastic guest on for all of you who want to step up the efficiency and efficacy of your side business - especially if you’re into tech!
Adolphus Gwynn is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and former Army Officer serving as an Airborne Infantry Ranger in the Army in Operation Desert Storm, Korea, and the 82nd Division. He left the military after 10 years and began working in the IT industry. He is currently an IT Executive, but what I really wanted to talk to him about is his extensive experience as an investor in successful side businesses.
Adolphus starts by telling us about the four side businesses he’s owned and why he wanted to become an investor after leaving the military & joining the tech world. He then dives into the details about his barbershop and trucking company, both of which have been profitable and fascinating investments. He also shares some great advice about starting a business and using your project management skills to make sure everything works as smoothly and profitably as possible.
