Guest Bio:
Julia is the Coordinator Minority Teacher at the Recruitment Center. She graduated from WKU in 2006 with a Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies degree with emphasis in Organization and Communication of Ideas. Simultaneously, she acquired a Certificate in Nonprofit Management and Leadership, making her a National Certified Nonprofit Professional. In previous years, Julia worked at the Center for Citizenship and Social Justice as the Program Support Specialist. Previously, she also worked at the WKU ALIVE Center as a Multicultural Services Coordinator and the Coordinator of the Hispanic GED and ESL Program. Julia is proud of being first generation Latina alumni and strives to assist students in any way possible to see them succeed. Because of this, she decided to continue in the higher education field and obtained a Master of Arts in Education degree in Student Affairs program at WKU.

Amy Caswell Hardin is the Executive Director of The Med Center Health Foundation. Ms. Hardin has worked in the non-profit and philanthropy fields for close to 15 years. She has worked at Western Kentucky University, Middle Tennessee State University, American Cancer Society, and the National Corvette Museum. Ms. Hardin received her bachelors and Masters from WKU. She is an advocate for the special needs community, namely those with autism spectrum disorder, and has a great love for Dolly Parton. She lives in Bowling Green, KY with her husband Mike and her son JW.

Rachel Norton has a heart for others and has used that in various roles throughout her career in support services. Her path has been road through early childhood development, ministry, higher education and now the City of Bowling Green. She is currently employed as the Executive Assistant for the Bowling Green Police Department.

Guest Bio:
Dr. Jase Pinerola, Vice President of Physical Rehabilitation at Med Center Health, joined the organization in 2017. Dr. Pinerola received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Kentucky in 2008 and his bachelor’s degree in physical therapy from the University of Kentucky in 1990. He is a board certified clinical specialist in both sports (SCS) and electrophysiologic (ECS) physical therapy and a licensed athletic trainer (LAT). He serves as clinical faculty for the University of Kentucky and Western Kentucky University Schools of Physical Therapy. He is the father of 4 BGHS graduates and is the “Pappa” of 4 wonderful grandchildren!

Hillary Hightower is the Director of the Law Department for the City, while also serving as the City Attorney. Hillary started her law career in 1995 at Satterfield and Harmon, where she represented the City of Bowling Green on a contractual basis. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Municipal Attorneys Association of Kentucky. Prior to coming to work for the City of Bowling Green full-time, Hillary was an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney for 16 ½ years.
