Author and Southwest Asia editor for Executive Intelligence Review magazine, Hussein Askary, lays out the critical context in which Iranian Maj. Gen. Qasem Soleimani was killed by U.S. forces. Askary reviews the public and internal overtures made by actors within the region, and others abroad, to reduce foreign military presence in the area and begin an international strategy for the reconstruction of Iraq and Syria, which has faced constant intervention and sabotage by forces local and abroad who wish to keep conflict flaring in the region for their own interests and control.

Askary reminds viewers that the assassination of Soleimani is not something to take sides on, or compare analysis of, it's a critical turning point for either war or peace and development. Now is not time to think like partisans or geopolitical hacks, but instead, consider what our best American leaders would do in this scenario.

I hope you’ve all seen our pamphlet, which says that the McCarthyite witch hunt against China and against the Chinese-Americans is equally an attack on Donald Trump, who is committed to breaking this neo-con, British imperial divide of the world; ending the colonial wars in the Middle East and elsewhere, and bringing about friendship between the United States and Russia and China.

As the British oligarchs beat the war drums in order to trap Donald Trump in another war, hoping, thereby, to defeat him in 2020, the claim is made, repeatedly, that the Chinese are ruthlessly suppressing a Muslim religious minority, the Uyghurs, in Xinjiang province, requiring sanctions and further loud and obnoxious interventions by the U.S. This is the same phenomena whereby Americans are revved up to support Al Qaeda in Syria in order to secure regime change against Assad or to cheer the riots in Hong Kong being staged by our rotten National Endowment for Democracy, the British Foreign Office, and the world’s leading dirty dope money launderer, the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation.

From the 1930s through the 1960s, the United States had a period of incredible economic growth. From the 1960s to the 1990s, that physical economic growth slowed and was replaced with financial growth. Today, while enormous efforts are put into maintaining the financial system, the physical economy is nearly an afterthought. How did we get here? And is this problem temporary or systemic?

In an interview yesterday, Attorney General Barr said that John Durham is investigating intelligence agencies domestic and foreign and private individuals in an investigation much broader than the Horowitz report on the crimes of the DOJ. But the fruits of that investigation in the form of criminal indictments are probably months down the line. What battle fronts do we open in the meantime?

As everyone knows, the President was impeached yesterday in an event which was a sham and a shameful proceeding with far reaching consequences for the Constitution and the Republic unless we cure the sickness which led to it. The answer lies in how we think, what method of thought do we apply to the battles of this war, a battle which must be fought at the same time as we move relentlessly forward to create a better future, as the Constitution says, for ourselves and our posterity.
