Promise in the Blood
Hebrews 9

Language can change the way we hear the message. However, the Good News, Gospel, Promise of God does not change. 

He entered once for all into the holy places, not by means of the blood of goats and calves but by means of his own blood, thus securing an eternal redemption.

This is the wonderful gospel news that we celebrate today. Sacrifices are not something that we like thinking about, but Jesus’ sacrifice was once for all. Not through defiled blood, or animal blood but through holy blood. This is why Jesus is the mediator of a new covenant, his blood did what no other blood could. And he did it once for all.
