Burnout is so much more than too much work. Millions of Americans can identify with the feeling of burnout, but burnout from work can bleed into every other area of your life. In this episode, we go through the 6 different ways that people experience workout in the workplace and brainstorm some ideas to help you combat those.
The United States is 3 times less productive than it used to be. We're challenging ourselves to look at our own lives and evaluate what that means. Productivity is measuring how much output we get with the same amount of input. An example of that would be making two birdhouses in the same amount of time that it would take you to make one after weeks of refining processes. In this episode, we also announce our September challenge!
In this episode of Proof+Theory, we will be talking about the most important question every entrepreneur should ask themselves. Simon Sinek's Golden Circle theory is a foundational component to this podcast. We start off explaining the reason why answering the "why" is so important for your brand's success. Are you trying to sell people your what (i.e. a powerful computer) or your why (i.e. your company innovates). Chad will also dive in a little bit on why people start business in the first place and what an entrepreneur is. Let us know what your "why" is in your business or your life in general in the comments below!

In this episode of Proof and Theory, we will be talking about branding, how to start a brand, and the early steps you need to take to make sure it lasts. We go over some of the mistakes that a business makes while building a brand such as under-funding, not focusing on their product offering and focusing too much on the look when they should be thinking about the feel. A brand needs to be flexible to their customer. If they're not providing the best service or product the customer will find someone who will. What are some brands that you think are doing providing valuable products and content?

About the Hosts Chad and Kyle grew up hours apart in rural Pennsylvania in entrepreneurial families. When they went to college in Central Virginia, they hit it off. Many nights were spent dreaming of businesses that they could build. The issue, as is typical for a lot of college students, was money to start these ideas. Kyle achieved his BS in Graphics Design with a Business Minor and Chad got his degree in Finance and is currently working on his MBA. After college, Kyle went on to work at a marketing company that serves churches and non-profits around the country. Although hired for graphic design, he then took on more responsibility for website design, communications, and account management. Chad became a Financial Advisor at Merrill Lynch and Bank of America, then moved on to a high-level position in corporate finance. Although we're states apart, we are still dreaming. Proof+Theory is our journey to build our dreams and content creation is how we will get there.
