Since moving here, I’ve said things like “Poughkeepsie is the most racist place in all of Dutchess County” and “Poughkeepsie is Against Black Empowerment” and it still rings true. What has happened today is a prime example of further dehumanizing black women in healthcare and faulty diversity and inclusion in yet another industry, aside from the construction industry here in Poughkeepsie.
