Michael Guthrie is the founding design principal of INFORM Studio, with offices in Detroit, Chicago and Traverse City. His achievement of significant professional awards and distinctions are numerous, and include 31 AIA Design Awards and projects achieving LEED certifications. Additionally, Michael received the 2003 AIA Detroit Young Architect Award and was honored with the 2004 AIA Michigan Young Architect Award. His work has been published in Architecture, Architectural Record, Archiworld, CA Concept, Albenaa Magazine, and various other publications; and highlighted in numerous exhibitions in Detroit, Illinois, Denver, New York, and Cairo. Michael was the team leader for 11 distinctive competition entries receiving commendation including four winning projects that have been constructed or are in final design. In May 2011, inFORM studio was recognized as the AIA Michigan Firm of the Year.
