Many of us will turn up the heating but it may still feel pretty cold. In many cases Australian houses, even more modern ones, aren’t built for our extreme weather conditions.
So, apart from tearing down our home and starting again, what can be done? In some cases, retrofitting can help. Not only can it keep us warmer or cooler but it encourages better energy efficiency, which in turn saves money on bills.
Dr Trivess Moore from RMIT University, and a member of the Sustainable Building Innovation Laboratory, joins us to discuss retrofitting and how to do it.
