  • The Israel of God XIII
The sermon argues that the New Testament serves as the authoritative guide for interpreting Old Testament promises to Israel, rejecting the dispensational view of a future ethnic national restoration. By analyzing Amos 9 and Jeremiah 31 in light of the NT, the Bible demonstrates that these prophecies find their fulfillment in Jesus Christ and the church. The preacher contends that limiting Old Testament promises to physical Jews creates a contradiction with the New Testament's clear teaching on the universal scope of the New Covenant. Consequently, believers must allow the New Testament to define the meaning of Old Testament texts rather than forcing the New Testament to fit preconceived literal interpretations.

  • 203 Jesus: The Angel of God (Exodus 23:20) Our Daily Greg
The Bible uses the word "angel" in more than one sense and in our text the King James Bible capitalizes "Angel" because it is a reference to the pre-incarnate Jesus who is God the Son, second person of the Triune Godhead. Also Reference: Isaiah 9:6, Micah 5:2, Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 1:23, John 1:1-3, Colossians 1:16, Genesis 16:7 & 13, Colossians 1:15, John 14:3 & 6 https://bbfohio.com

  • 70 The Morning Devotional - Psalm 110
The Morning Devotional Season 11 | Edition 70 August 12, 2026 Psalm 110 This devotional examines Psalm 110 as a pivotal Messianic prophecy that reveals the dual nature and offices of Jesus Christ. The text highlights how David refers to the Messiah as both his descendant and his Lord, affirming Christ's divinity and authority. The sermon details Christ's role as King who rules with power and subdues enemies, while simultaneously serving as an eternal High Priest in the order of Melchizedek. By connecting this Old Testament passage to the New Testament, the message explains how Jesus' unique priesthood provides believers with direct access to God for mercy and help. Ultimately, the exposition offers comfort by assuring listeners that Christ actively defends His people and mediates on their behalf.

  • Gathering the Scattered
Gathering The Scattered The messag analyzes John 11:48-52, highlighting how the high priest Caiaphas inadvertently prophesied Jesus' sacrificial death while plotting to preserve his own political power. Although Caiaphas intended for Jesus to be a scapegoat to appease Rome, God sovereignly used this evil intent to reveal that Jesus would die not only for the Jewish nation but also to gather all scattered children of God into one. The preacher emphasizes that salvation is entirely dependent on God's initiative and grace, as believers are born of God rather than human lineage or effort. This divine gathering continues throughout history through messengers sent by God to call people to faith. The passage demonstrates God's ability to redeem human schemes for His ultimate glory and the spiritual benefit of the church. But John tells us that Caiaphas said more than Caiaphas understood. John writes: "Now this he did not say on his own authority; but being high priest that year he prophesied that Jesus would die for the nation." God put a prophetic truth into the mouth of a man who did not even understand the truth he was speaking. Caiaphas had one intention. God had another. Caiaphas intended evil. God was unfolding redemption. Like Joseph's brothers— What he meant for evil, God meant for good. And then comes one of those revelations we ought to underline, circle, remember, rejoice over, and maybe shout about a little bit. "NOT FOR THAT NATION ONLY" John 11:52 says: "And not for that nation only, but also that He would gather together in one the children of God who were scattered abroad." There we are. That reaches beyond Israel. That reaches beyond Jerusalem.
