  • The New Testament’s Understanding of Daniel’s 70 Week Prophecy (Pt 3)
In this message we examine the doctrine of imminence with regard to the coming of Jesus Christ. We show from both the Olivet Discourse in Matthew 24 and Paul's writings in 1 Thessalonians 4 and 5 that the rapture and beginning of the day of the Lord is an imminent event that could occur at any time. We discuss how this refutes preterism which claims all these events must have occurred in 70 A.D. Come and hear for yourself how the Olivet Discourse teaches the imminent return of Christ to rapture the church.

  • Christ in the Grave
Pastor Mark Hogan taught from Matthew 27:57-66 on the burial of Jesus Christ, emphasizing its essential role in the gospel. He explained that Jesus' burial publicly confirmed his death, fulfilled Isaiah 53:9's prophecy of the suffering servant being buried with a rich man (Joseph of Arimathea), and served as a fundamental part of the prophesied "sign of Jonah" (Matthew 12:40), proving Jesus' messianic claims. Theologically, Christ's burial was the lowest point of his humiliation—descending into death's realm—yet it was the bridge to his exaltation, as Psalm 16 promised God would not abandon his Holy One to corruption. Practically, Hogan applied this truth to believers' hope in death: because Christ entered and conquered the grave, Christians do not go to the tomb alone or in defeat. The grave is sanctified as a place of repose until the resurrection, removing its terror. Hogan urged confidence that death will not have the final word, for Christ's victory guarantees future glory, and nothing (not even death) can separate believers from God's love in Christ Jesus.

  • A Compassionate God
The profound compassion of Jesus is revealed in Mark 6:53-56 - not merely empathy but a suffering-with response to human pain. The preacher connects this personal ministry to the cosmic battle against sin and death, illustrating how Christ's earthly miracles demonstrate His divine nature and unchanging character. In Old Testament prophecies and New Testament teachings, Jesus' compassion is rooted in His identity as God incarnate, and in His human nature, entering into our suffering to offer salvation. The message challenges listeners to approach Christ with desperate faith, emphasizing that healing and forgiveness are available through grace alone, not personal merit. Ultimately, the sermon assures believers that while earthly circumstances may vary, Christ's compassionate presence and ultimate victory over death provide enduring hope and rest for weary souls.

  • A Challenge
The sermon contrasts the one true, sovereign God with the emptiness of idolatry by examining Isaiah 41. It argues that the living God is distinguished by His ability to declare the end from the beginning and His absolute power to save. The preacher identifies modern free will theology as a false god because it lacks irresistible efficacy in salvation. Christ is presented as the fulfillment of prophecy and the only means of redemption for the elect. Believers are urged to reject all forms of idolatry and boldly witness to the gospel of grace.

  • The Burial of our Lord Jesus Christ
The sermon examines the theological significance of Jesus' burial, emphasizing its role in confirming His actual death and fulfilling Old Testament prophecies. It highlights the faithful witness of women disciples who supported Jesus' ministry and observed the tomb, contrasting their loyalty with the apostles' absence. The narrative details Joseph of Arimathea's bold intervention to provide a proper burial, thereby validating scriptural predictions regarding the Messiah's grave. This event serves as undeniable proof against theories denying Christ's physical death and assures believers that He fully experienced the consequences of sin. Ultimately, the burial provides comfort by demonstrating that Christ conquered death, removing its terror for those who trust in Him.

  • Why Every Christian Needs Bible Prophecy
Why Every Christian Needs Bible Prophecy. 2 Timothy 3:16–17; Revelation 1:3 (KJV)Have you ever started a great book and never finished it? Sadly, many Christians do the same with the Bible. They love the stories of Genesis, the miracles of Jesus, and the practical lessons of the Epistles, yet they avoid the prophetic books because they seem difficult to understand. In doing so, they miss some of God's greatest promises of hope, encouragement, and victory. The question that arises on every heart of a born-again believer is how should we study the Word of God—from Genesis to Revelation. Discover how Bible prophecy strengthens our faith, proves God's sovereignty, encourages holy living, and fills the believer with hope in an increasingly uncertain world. Learn why God did not write the final chapters of His Book to confuse His children, but to comfort and prepare them for the glorious return of Jesus Christ. Some Christians and preachers refuse to study prophecy. Don't stop reading before the end—the greatest chapters are still ahead! The believer who understands God's promises for tomorrow will have greater confidence, courage, and purpose today. "The Bible does not end with a funeral—it ends with a wedding. It does not end with defeat—it ends with victory. It does not end with the grave—it ends with glory. So don't stop reading before the end, because the Author has already written our victory through Jesus Christ."
