Let's talk about forgiveness and trust! You can forgive people because God calls us to forgive them for our own mental health and happiness. Trust is something that we should put mainly in the Lord! Prayers for wisdom and discernment are mandatory when it comes to opening yourself back up for "closeness". The Lord will reveal the truth and give wisdom to navigate your dealings with a person. To FORGIVE means to "stop feeling angry or resentful towards someone for an offense, flaw, or mistake. This takes the grace of God to help you with - If you need prayers in this area, click HERE. Trust means to "believe in the reliability, truth, ability, or strength of something or someone.... The two are NOT the same.Forgiving someone does not automatically give them a free pass back into your inner circle. It does not give them a right to be in close proximity in order to give you a sequel to their bad behavior! This spot must be earned over TIME provided they are a SAFE person. The length of time to build trust depends on prayers and gut instinct!
