28 Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe, 29 for our God is a consuming fire. Hebrews 12:28-29

Tonight the Lord reminded us He is a Consuming Fire and we are under constant development in every area of our lives. Listen to these foundational truths regarding our walk, prayer, fasting, and worship. then we end with soaking and the name that is above every name JESUS.

We Look at Exodus 33:18-23 in relation to Fasting!

18 Then Moses said, “Now show me your glory.”

19 And the Lord said, “I will cause all my goodness to pass in front of you, and I will proclaim my name, the Lord, in your presence. I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. 20 But,” he said, “you cannot see my face, for no one may see me and live.”

21 Then the Lord said, “There is a place near me where you may stand on a rock. 22 When my glory passes by, I will put you in a cleft in the rock and cover you with my hand until I have passed by. 23 Then I will remove my hand and you will see my back; but my face must not be seen.”

• Show the light, the truth - this is where we become illuminated by Him

With one hand He covers and all questions and needs are erased

• How will I eat - I will feed You

• How will I drink - I will fill your thirst 

• How will I pay my bills - I will provide

• How will I go on - You won't but I will 

• How will I love again - I will fill you with my love

• How will I trust again - I Will - trust in me to trust again

• How will I follow - I will lead you

We are to Partner with the Holy Spirit and Fasting cause those deep intimate Spirit to Spirit conversations

Biblical fasting - the absence of your favorite food is replaced by the constant filling of God. We go Without so the Spirit of God can Dwell Within!

Nehemiah 9” 19 “Because of your great compassion you did not abandon them in the wilderness. By day the pillar of cloud did not fail to guide them on their path, nor the pillar of fire by night to shine on the way they were to take. 20 You gave your good Spirit to instruct them. You did not withhold your manna from their mouths, and you gave them water for their thirst. 21 For forty years you sustained them in the wilderness; they lacked nothing, their clothes did not wear out nor did their feet become swollen.

God sustained them in the wilderness - why then do we spend so much time trying to sustain ourselves?
