Jordan Rich fills in - This week, members of the Massachusetts Chiefs of Police Association have sent a letter to Governor Baker’s office about their support of the Black and Latino Caucus’ 10 Point Plan for police reform in the state. This comes at a time when there is a nationwide call for police reform and Massachusetts is trying to implement new reform throughout the state. This 10 Point Plan is different than that of what the state Senate and House initially proposed. This plan includes establishing guidelines to ban all uses of excessive force, a ban on chokeholds, creating mechanisms to promote diversity within the force, and qualified immunity may be invoked in certain limited circumstances, among other things. Are you satisfied with this 10 Point Plan or would you like to see something added?
