Protect & Connect – Episode 3

In Episode 3 of Protect & Connect, Chief Crosby and Lieutenant Timbs sit down with Officer McCormack to recap last Saturday’s E-Bike Safety Event and continue an important conversation as we head into the spring season.

With warmer weather bringing more families out to parks, trails, and roadways, we focused on helping residents better understand what truly qualifies as an e-bike under state law—and why that distinction matters. Many parents may have purchased bikes that look like e-bikes but don’t meet the legal definition or classification requirements, which can impact where and how they can be ridden.

During the episode, we break down:

• 🚴 What riders can and cannot do if their bike doesn’t meet those standards
