Will Glass is the co-owner and co-founder of HotSugarPop LLC! He developed a passion for Culinary Arts in high school and attended Johnson & Wales University, in N. Miami, earning a bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts. After graduation, Will enlisted in the US Army Reserve as a Food Service Specialist and later commissioned as a Food Service Warrant Officer. Will has multiple and overseas and stateside deployments and currently serves as the Food Advisor for the 518 Sustainment Brigade in Knightdale, NC. So, he knows his way around food!

Will is married to the former Tiffany Templeton and they have three children. Their oldest son Tye has several food allergies and they struggled to find foods for him to eat. However, one of the foods Tye can eat is popcorn. Will and Tiffany popped popcorn for Tye as a snack for his lunch daily and soon began to experiment. Together they developed a recipe for kettle corn, and began sharing it with their friends, family and coworkers. In 2016, Will and Tiffany brought their snack to Fayetteville and in 2018 launched HotSugarPop. Will has worked closely with the business counselors with the Small Business Technology Development Center, located in the Fayetteville State University College of Business and Economics. Their guidance and assistance have helped HotSugarPop become Fayetteville’s favorite snack.

Today HotSugarPop can be found in several stores throughout Fayetteville and the first HotSugarPop location launched this first week in November at the Cross Creek Mall.

As I met with Jordan Jones, a local real estate developer, the day of the podcast, he walks up to me and lets me know he just finished showing institutional investors downtown, the Prince Charles project and discussing the abundant opportunity in investing in Fayetteville. This man loves this city and he loves show casing investments like the historic Prince Charles Hotel! One indication of his love shows in his numbers. Jordan has helped acquire over 1,000,000 sq ft of vacant historic buildings in his career and he’s not slowing down!

Quick History:

Jordan was born and raised here in Fayetteville and he has seen first-hand just what this community has become. Not only was he raised down the street from the Prince Charles, his great-great-grandfather built the Prince Charles Hotel in the 1920s. Hear more about his empire in the podcast!

Quick Project Details:

Jordan and his team of long-term wealth investors will allocate approx. $74,000,000 in private money by fall of 2020 that will be invested in our community. 

The Prince Charles Hotel will be equipped with two restaurants including a high-end steak house, a dentist office, and The Coffee Scene. 

Next to the Prince Charles, a 485-space parking garage is being built along with a 105,000 sq ft. – 7 story office building AND the Hyatt Hotel.

Hear about the extreme challenges him and his team have had including Capital Calls, a natural stream running through the hotel in the basement, and how each hotel room was constructed that they didn’t expect.

Jordan is a big fan of Warren Buffet and like Warren, he understands wealth is created in the long term investments and specifically with the Prince Charles, he is starting to see the fruits of his labor as the apartments are now 40% pre-leased!
