「Pride goes before destruction,

　And a haughty spirit before a fall.」Amen.

We may know the pride and exuberance of others in our hands, but we are not aware of our own pride and exuberance. Or perhaps we don't even try to see it. But if left unchecked, they will lead to ruin and frustration. The Bible is replete with references to God's rejection of the proud and blessing of the humble.　(Mattew. 11:29) "Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls."
