Before speaking, it is good to ask yourself what you intend to do with your words because after you speak, it's too late. When and how we are to speak is the opening of this teaching from the book of Proverbs. Later, a discussion of what it means to be a righteous person who is cleaned and renewed by Yahweh is given. We learn that a righteous person takes care in how they hear the words of Jesus and does them, walking in their renewal, trusting in the wisdom of God.
