「The soul of the wicked desires evil;

His neighbor finds no favor in his eyes.」　　Amen.

　I am reminded of the parable of the Good Samaritan spoken by Jesus. The road from Jerusalem to Jericho was known as the “bloody road” at that time, and was frequented by robbers. A traveler was attacked by robbers and lay on the ground covered in blood. The priests and Levites who passed by him passed him by with an indifferent look on their faces. The next Samaritan who passed by felt sorry for him and took care of him. It was the Samaritan who showed compassion for his neighbor, the heart of the priest and Levite who served God and the heart of the Samaritan who was being ostracized by the Jews.

　May we be mindful of our neighbors today as well....
